Packing List
Buck's Rock Camp is set in natural woodlands and campers should pack to be very comfortable without worrying about dressing up.
Campers should pack clothing that is comfortable and suitable to the areas in which they will be working. Keep in mind that clothes should be easy to launder and that delicate fabrics should be avoided. You may want to include one nicer outfit in case your child wants to go on a trip such as the one to the Tanglewood Music Festival. A nice dress or shirt and slacks are fine for these occasions.
To see a full packing list and suggested items to buy, check out our Packing List and Merchandise Store at https://www.packforcamp.com/bucksrock.
All clothing items must be identified with the camper's full name.
Use name tapes to label each item of clothing, toiletry, and linen, or you may choose to use a laundry marker.
Please use duffel bags or soft luggage for packing clothing as there is limited storage space.
Trunks or large hard suitcases cannot be accommodated.
The list that follows is a suggested one.
Since it takes a few days for laundry to be returned, campers generally need enough clothing for 10 days (the first laundry is not for 10 days, then every seven days thereafter). Closet and shelf space is limited and campers who bring too much will find themselves without enough space. Therefore, when packing for a sleepaway summer camp, "if in doubt, leave it out."
