Festival Schedule 2026
10am: Camp opens for visitors!
10am-4pm: CamperWorks open in the Actors’ Studio and around camp (come see all the art campers made through the summer!)
10am-5pm: StaffWorks and Merchandise on sale in the Dining Hall (come see all the amazing art by staff, and get started on your holiday shopping!)
11:30am-1pm: Lunch served in the Pavilion
12:45pm: Festival Day Show at the Summer Theater: Dogg’s Hamlet/Cahoot’s Macbeth
2:15pm: Music Concert at the Pavilion
3:15pm: Dance Show at the Dance Studio
4pm: All campers must be signed out!
4:15pm: Clown Show at the Pavilion
5pm: Raffle Drawing in the Dining Hall
8:30pm: Festival Musical at the Summer Theater: Head Over Heels
The culmination of our summer camp season, the Buck's Rock Festival, is when parents, family, and friends share and enjoy the many accomplishments of our campers: their productivity, growth, and collective and individual successes. It’s definitely a memorable event, occurring on the final Saturday of camp.
There are exhibits of visual arts, demonstrations in various studios and workshops, and a fashion show. In addition, Buck's Rock's Music Shed and Studio 59, Clown and Improvisation Studio, and Dance all perform throughout the day, presenting both new pieces and excerpts from previous performances. We serve a picnic lunch and dinner to all our guests, and as the conclusion to our summer session, our Theatre departments present their final musical production for campers and visitors to enjoy.
The friendliness and warmth, the mutual respect and support, the cooperative and collective effort that makes this all possible, remain with us long after we return home. Festival is a celebration of all those qualities, a chance for families, campers, and friends to revel in all that has occurred in a summer. Buck's Rock never leaves us and we never lose the spirit that is Buck's Rock.
