Dining Hall

At Buck's Rock, we take food as seriously as we do our performing and visual arts. Our dining facility includes a thoroughly modern kitchen, storage facilities, and a large dining room. We serve buffet-style, so campers can choose the selections that suit their tastes and satisfy their appetites, and they can sit with whom they choose. Our dining hall prepares three meals a day: breakfast from 8-9am, lunch from 12-1pm, and dinner from 6-7pm. In addition to the three customary meals, there is an afternoon snack of cookies, fruit, and drinks at 3pm.

Our food is carefully prepared under the supervision of a expert chefs, food preparators, and bakers. Our CITs help serve at lunch and dinner, as part of their community service in our program. Special diets are accommodated, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian. All foods are labeled with ingredients, so everyone can avoid anything they do not or can not eat. All three meals offer both hot and cold choices; examples may include scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, burger options for lunch, and a diverse pasta bar for dinner. A full and fresh salad bar is available at both lunch and dinner, with a delicious spread to make any kind of desired salad. Bread, butter, and jelly are available at every meal.
